Job Description
- 1) Engineering Assistant (Production)
• To support Production Technicians/Operators in machine and process troubleshooting, process change process control, failure analysis and assist supervisor in controlling the production team.
• To specialise in processes and to perform higher level of troubleshooting and failure analysis
• Guide the technicians and operators to achieve required output and quality
• To check on the supplementary materials change to ensure they are properly done
• To assist Line Engineer to check all the control chart and checklist
• To ensure smooth production operation with production report
• To monitor, troubleshoot and improve the production daily final test yield
• To perform maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
2) Engineering Assistant (R&D)
• Conduct measurement and analysis using measurement tools in lab and cleanroom
• Conduct, analyze and publish evaluation and/or failure analysis result using measurement tools.
• Co-ordinate and work together with engineer to ensure compliance to completion target dates, and to assist the line to run smoothly.
• Ensure compliance to ISO quality and safety standards
• Proper 5s housekeeping
• Any other ed-hoc as assigned by superior
3) Engineering Assistant (R&D- MSL)
• Perform measurements and analyses to characterize media, media processes, and related components using surface analysis techniques for evaluation or failure investigation purposes.
• Assist in managing lab equipment, coordinating analysis activities, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Assist in conducting validation, evaluation, and characterization of media, media processes, and related components to ensure compliance with design and reliability margins.
• Perform surface analysis measurements and support the development of analysis techniques under the guidance of engineers.
• Document and compile results of evaluations and failure analyses for review by engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide input on surface analysis results and support improvement activities.
• Execute daily evaluation and failure analysis tasks as prioritized by engineers to meet target completion dates.
• Operate and maintain surface analysis lab equipment and report any issues to engineer or vendors for repair and maintenance.
• Ensure lab operations comply with ISO quality and safety standards.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by engineers to support lab operations and engineering activities.
Requirements
Higher NITEC or Diploma in Science/ Engineering
Those with no experience but with relevant qualification can be considered.
Able to work 12-hours shift work.
